Primary Prevention Director

The Primary Prevention Director is responsible for supervision and general oversight of the Primary Prevention & BIPP (Battering Intervention & Prevention Program) staff. In addition, the PPD will develop and coordinate the Primary Prevention and BIPP programs to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the programs

  1. Supervise the coordination of primary prevention presentations with schools in Noah Project’s service area.
  2. Supervise and conduct speaking presentations on domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking and prevention in schools and ensure that other requests for speakers are fulfilled in Noah Project’s 10-county area.
  3. Supervise the development (and revise and/or update as needed) of all primary prevention curricula and programs to be used in schools.
  4. Conduct or coordinate the hiring and training of Primary Prevention staff, including continuing education at conferences, etc.
  5. Create and maintain facilitator schedules for primary prevention presentations within our service area schools.
  6. Work closely with the school districts in the service area.
  7. Support Community Education initiative by attending and/or coordinating staff to attend resource fairs and community awareness events, etc. and ensure that display tables have adequate materials and facilitator coverage.
  8. Ensure staff maintains ongoing statistical data for schools served, including numbers served, dates served, amount of time served, outcome surveys and results.
  9. Ensure grant reports are submitted in a timely manner.
  10. Review and submit for approval timesheets, mileage requests, leave requests, and travel requests for PP staff.
  11. Assist in planning and execution of grant applications for prevention programs.
  12. Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

  2. Conduct or coordinate the hiring and training of BIPP Facilitator
  3. Coordinate all administrative and supervisory responsibilities to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the program, including assisting with funding applications for the program
  4. Providing client contacts, including intakes/orientations and exits,
  5. Providing direct supervision to the group facilitator and providing secondary group facilitation,
  6. Completing and submitting required reports,
  7. Ensure adequate payment handling and tracking,
  8. Maintain files, including database and statistical information,
  9. Maintain required communication with probation officers, courts, CPS contacts, and other criminal justice personnel to ensure participants’ accountability.
  1. Ability to communicate both in writing and verbally.
  2. Ability to maintain a professional appearance in both manner and attire.
  3. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, especially when required for resource fairs, awareness events, or speaking engagements.
  4. Ability to work with a variety of special populations, both internal and external to the organization to fulfill the mission of Noah Project.
  5. Ability to present effectively a broad range of school-age children, teens, and adults.
  1. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major course of study in education, development, public relations, communication, social sciences, or a related field.
  2. At least two years of experience in a professional position related to this job description.
  3. Experience in the supervision of staff.
  4. Reliable transportation to travel throughout the 10-county service area

Salary: $52,000 – $54,000 annually

Shelter / Hotline Coordinator

General Description: The Shelter/Hotline Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day operations of the shelter and crisis line office. This includes managing a team of Crisis Line Advocates, Weekend Crisis Line Advocates, and PRN Advocacy staff, including offering guidance, assistance, and directives to staff, as well as recruiting, managing, and training new staff. Monthly on-call rotation and occasional holiday coverage required.

  1. Ensure that departmental records, data entry, and paperwork are completed for sexual assault victims accurately.
  2. Receive crisis calls and provide immediate crisis intervention for all victims of sexual assault.
  3. Complete intake and exit interviews and complete all required documentation for sexual assault clients.
  4. Assist sexual assault victim’s immediate needs and refer them to appropriate resources, or utilize Noah Project resources.
  5. On-call accompaniment for SANE exams as needed
  1. Hiring, training and management of Crisis Line Advocates, Weekend Crisis Line Advocates, and Advocacy PRNs
  2. Scheduling crisis line staff to ensure adequate coverage of 24/7 crisis line and back office
  3. Approval of time-off requests, while ensuring staff coverage
  4. Ability to work a flexible schedule in order to provide crisis line coverage as needed
  5. Task management of interns and volunteers as needed
  6. Ensure that departmental records, data entry and paperwork are completed accurately.

  11. Assist clients’ immediate needs and refer them to appropriate resource, or utilize Noah resources.
  12. Control access to the facility by residents, non-residents and visitors, oversee the security system and follow all security procedures.
  13. Complete documentation, data/statistical entry and any other required paperwork on a timely basis to include maintaining client and administrative files.
  14. Ensure residents are following shelter guidelines and responsibilities.
  15. Process in-coming and outgoing mail.
  16. Attend staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.
  17. Additional duties as assigned as necessary
  1. Possesses a bachelor’s degree
  2. Experience working with underserved populations
  3. Has knowledge of first aid and CPR procedures or is willing to be trained on those skills.
  4. Possesses knowledge and proficiency in general office procedures.
  5. Is willing to work in stressful conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
  6. Knowledge of the dynamics of domestic violence and sexual assault.
  7. Maintain professional and ethical boundaries with all clients.
  8. Works well with minimal supervision.
  9. Supervisor approval of outside employment is required due to on-call nature of this position.

Salary: $50,000 annually
