Primary Prevention Specialist

The PPS is responsible for two major areas: Primary Prevention/Schools – including written materials and programs for family violence and primary prevention presentations; delivery of primary prevention and character education in schools. Community Awareness: including presentations to agencies and groups, resource fairs, events and other duties as assigned. Although typical schedule will follow school hours, evening and weekend hours will also be required at times.

  1. Coordinate primary prevention presentations with schools in Noah Project 10-county service area.
  2. Facilitate speaking presentations on family violence, primary prevention, and character education in schools; coordinate with the Primary Prevention Director to ensure that other requests for speakers are fulfilled. Presentations include all prevention programs.
  3. Develop/revise all primary prevention curricula and programs to be used in schools.
  4. Support Community Awareness initiatives by attending resource fairs, etc. with Noah Project materials.
  5. Cross-train with advocacy department, assist with adult and children’s activities for residents and non-residents.

Salary: $17 hourly

Family Therapist

The Family Therapist is responsible for individual, family, group, and emergency crisis intervention counseling to victims and secondary victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. The therapist will apply clinical techniques and strategies to evaluate, counsel, and guide individuals, and help clients to achieve personal wellness, career development, mental well-being, and healthy relationships.

  1. Provide individual and family counseling assessment to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking.
  2. Provide ongoing individual crisis counseling relative to trauma and recovery for adults and children.
  3. Facilitate weekly adult and child domestic violence support groups.
  4. Maintain up-to-date files on clients.
  5. Collect demographic data to maintain grant statistics.
  6. Coordinate and plan age-appropriate group counseling for children experiencing domestic violence.
  7. Evaluate the ongoing progress of each individual involved in counseling.
  8. When needed, consult with Noah Project staff members on clients referred to counseling services.
  9. Provide periodic training to Noah Project staff members on trauma-informed mental health needs and best practices.
  10. Develop working relationships with other mental health professionals and mental health facilities in our area in order to have a referral source for individuals who need more intensive treatment or a higher level of care.
  11. Provide individual, family and group counseling assessment and emergency crisis intervention for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking within rural service areas.
  1. Master’s Degree in counseling or therapy from an accredited college or university.
  2. Professional license in counseling or therapy.
  3. Experience in the field of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking.
  4. Experience working with adults and children in crisis.
  5. Experience providing individual, family and group counseling for primary and secondary victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking.

Salary:  $47,840-$70,000 dependent on experience level and licensure status

Weekend 11pm-7am Crisis Line Advocate

Part-Time: 16 Hours Weekly

The Weekend 11pm-7am  Crisis Line Advocate (overnight Friday and Saturday) is an in-person position, providing crisis line services for victims of domestic violence, human trafficking, and sexual assault, as well as conducting intakes and assisting resident and non-resident clients. This employee provides on-site shelter coverage and assistance as needed within the general framework of Noah Project. Regularly scheduled hours are 3pm-11pm (overnight Friday and Saturday)

Salary: $16 hourly

Shelter Advocate

Classification: Non-Exempt

The Shelter Advocate is based in the Crisis Line office inside the Noah Project Shelter. Noah Project serves victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. This position provides on-site advocacy services to all shelter residents daily, as well as assisting with conducting intakes and crisis line coverage. Regularly scheduled hours are 10 am-7 pm, some flexibility may be required. Includes on-call rotation and holiday rotation.
  1. Conducting daily safety checks of shelter communal living areas and rooms.
  2. Fulfilling resident basic needs requests through our emergency storeroom
  3. Preparing rooms for new intakes and collecting linens from exited clients.
  4. Ensuring the working schema remains accurate throughout the day.
  5. Completing sanitation procedures for incoming items.
  6. Conducting weekly All-Resident meetings. Including coordinating with community partners to present at the All-Resident meetings
  7. Receive crisis calls and provide immediate crisis intervention for all victims of domestic violence, dating violence, and sexual assault.
  8. Complete intake and exit interviews and complete all required documentation on resident and non-resident clients.
  9. Assist residents in settling into the shelter, room and providing a tour.
  10. Assist clients’ immediate needs and refer them to appropriate resource, or utilize Noah resources.
  11. Control access to the facility by residents, non-residents and visitors, oversee the security system and follow all security procedures.
  12. Complete documentation, data/statistical entry and any other required paperwork on a timely basis to include maintaining client and administrative files.
  13. Ensure residents are following shelter guidelines and responsibilities. Chores, quiet hours, etc.

Salary: $16.50 hourly
